(This is a now page, and if you have your own site, you might want to make one, too.)

Since 2002, when I left Madrid, I’m living in Zagreb, Croatia. I live together with my wife, our two children, a bunny and a Newfoundlander in the outskirts of town, in order to be close to nature.

These days I enjoy playing basketball and boardgames with my son. Our current favourites are Tichu, Raptor, Santorini and Warlock of Firetop Mountain. There is one computer game we play, too: Age of Empires III. A ritual before bedtime which I enjoy a lot is reading to my children. These days its mostly Garfield comics and “The school of magical animals“.

Since 2004, along with five members of my family, I’m co-leading PES, a creative workshop of 35 people. We make artisanal type of Point of Sale material with which we help premium drinks brands connect to their audience. It’s quite a unique situation these days, with the corona virus and having recently experienced an earthquake the strength we did not have here in Zagreb for 140 years.

Back in 2018 we’ve launched a separate brand, VAU. We live in a time when the glorification of busy has become part of our culture, the rat race is real. Anxiety and stress levels, even without the current pandemic, are at an all-time high. With VAU my team and I focus on crafting minimalist home d├ęcor, desktop objects and accessories that add beauty and a sense of calm to everyday life. We promote mindful living principles as a way to support inner peace. My focus right now is testing the digital channel for this brand.

I’m reading about Stephen Harrod Buhner‘s work related to health, Bruce Liption’s The Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter and Miracles, and I’m taking Mindvalley’s class The Habit of Ferocity, led by Steven Kotler.

When I’m making the dishes, unless I choose to use it as a mindfulness exercise, I listen to All the Smoke and Knuckleheads. I love me some NBA content.
